aaSoo is an online magazine of culture, society, and ideas. It offers an eclectic mix of content in Persian, with a focus on Iran, aimed at Iranian intelligentsia and contributing to public debate about Iran’s future. This small selection, reproduced in English, offers a glimpse of aaSoo’s current output and the range and spirit of its work since it began in 2015.

aaSoo is supported by the Taslimi Foundation, a non-profit family foundation established in the United States in memory of Abdul Hussein Taslimi, who served as a member of the governing body of the Baha’i community in Iran. In August 1980, he was arrested in Tehran along with all his colleagues; they were never seen again.
