In His Name the Exalted
Meeting of the Court; The Accused: 1- Raa’fat Bargh-Asá, child of Atá’u’lláh of Maragheh, resident of Mian-do-Aab. Present Address: the hospital, her mother-in-law’s address: Zarrin Avenue, Gol-Morad street. Occupation: Assistant Nurse, having a husband and literate children, Baha’i, Iranian citizen, without any criminal record. 2- Aasieh Laami, child of Arab-Ali, from and resident of the city of Mian-do-Aab. Maha-Aabaad avenue, Namazi boulevard, Bashiri street, having a husband and children, literate, Baha’i, citizen of Iran, without any criminal record - at 10:00 AM, Saturday 59/6/15 - and after the review of the content of the file, addressing the defendants: “What is your religion?” they were asked, - Answer: “We are Bahá’ís, the parents are likewise Bahá’ís, and we are not willing to become Moslems”. Several times, they were ordered to convert to Islam and they refused - After hearing the defenses of the accused, the verdict is issued as follows:
The Court’s Verdict
In view of the content of the file, and the defendant’s confessions and their refusal to convert to Islam, the decree of their expulsion from the hospital is issued and declared. Furthermore, for the determination of the applicable Sharia law in accordance with Islamic rules and values, until the issuance of order by the Supreme Judicial Council and the ratification of the bail, [accused] are set free, until they appear [before the court] whenever the court summons [them].
