Greetings,

The letter No. 77-156 dated 77/6/14 of the committee for Monitoring the Implementation of the Constitution, regarding civil rights of the recognized and unrecognized minorities, in particular, the misguided Baha’i sect was brought to the attention of the President a copy of which is herewith attached. He specified the following:

"Dr. Rouhani,

Given the importance of the issue and the crucial need for its conclusive resolution, it is essential to review the matter on an urgent basis in the presence of Mr. Shooshtari and Mehrpoor, the representatives of the Ministries of Justice, Intelligence and interior and a few supportive experts in the Department of Secretariat and submit the outcome to me or to The Supreme National Security. Council so that an ultimate decision may be made. I await the result of your action."
